I admit it. I have a Pavlov type reaction when our air condition comes on. I grimace and sigh. Wendy say I obsess. First, let me start of by saying I am glad we have air conditioning. Also that we have been blessed not to have to work on the system. The unit honestly needs work. It came with the house and who knows how long it had been there. It does cool the house down, but seems to take an eternity.
That is where my obsessiveness comes in. While the unit is running I will look at the clock and then look at the temperature. It only has to cool two degrees is my point! How long could that take?! Often just when I am about to lose my patience it clicks off. Funny, how that happens in other things.
Last night the air condition ran so long. For awhile it went up a degree, even after running for awhile. It ran so long that even Wendy said cut the air off. Fortunately, it had cooled down some, enough to be close to where we wanted the temperature to be. However, it was close to ten o'clock at night!
I know that we have been in a stretch of record breaking heat so air conditioners have had to work overtime. I do not want my power bill to be paid overtime.
How do enjoy beating the heat?
