Unless you have been under a rock or are color blind, you probably realize that Halloween is coming up. It is amazing how many decorations and costumes are out there. It seems that everyone is talking about Halloween. I thought I heard somewhere that Halloween decorations are almost catching up in sales with Christmas decorations. Which means a lot since Christmas decorations can be found all year long.
Another thing I don't understand about Halloween is the idea of being scared. I do not like to be scared, but many people almost crave it. At Halloween parties everyone loves the Haunted House and scary movies. My finacee and I went to Fall Bash at a farm hosted by a couple at her home church. She was so nervous about the "haunted hayride" beforehand. Once the ride started she was laughing and having a good time. During the ride I was the one who was so jumpy and nervous, and not because of all the candy.
I think that is the main deal with Halloween, trying to scare someone and take their candy. Which brings another purpose of Halloween, appartently to party as much as you can. I believe that is the whole purpose for wearing a mask. So no one can recognize you the next day.
So be careful out there you seeker of sweets and save me chocolate.
