Whistle while you work

I am getting ready to embark on a week away from work.  When I know a vacation is coming, I have a hard time trying to get motivated.

I would love to work only a couple of months a year and have enough money to last me through the year.  Sometimes I do not mind working, it is the process I do like.  I would love to only work a few hours and be done.  I am reading a biography on Andrew Carnegie, who claimed he could do more work in a few hours then most would do in a days time.  That is my philosophy.  Most people brag about the time they spend at work.  Are we really that busy?  What are we actually doing?

It would be hard to get work done and leave because now everything is by demand.  A person has to be accessible to meet certain demands.  My job in particular is a mixture of things I know I have to do and then other pop ups.

The only true way to coordinate your own schedule is to not do anything.  I doubt that could last very long or be very fun.  Of course you could make others think what you want to do is what they want you to do.
