As I took Joy to go potty this morning, I noticed how much of what we do in the morning is habit. Her eyes were still shut, but she still knew what to do. That got me thinking about how I do basically the same thing every morning.
It seems like the morning flies by. Once we hop or fall out of bed, the routine starts. Then we look back and do not remember what we did or where the morning went. Most of the time everything gets done. That is why when the routine gets thrown off it feels like the morning was wasted.
Now you may not be that regimented, but I am sure you do some things the same way every morning. Of course there is a variation here or there.
I guess the next question is why do we need to get up when as the phrase goes we can "do it in our sleep"?
