The other day Wendy was organizing the house. She wanted to make room for Ava. A challenge, considering the design of our house and the items strewn in the house. Wendy was ready to go through older items and find them a new home. She went through piles of clothing and commented to me, "I found stuff I didn't know I even had." Local thrift store, expect some goodies from us in the near future.
I am not much of a collector. Sure I used to buy comics and CDs. I am more of a setter aside. I get something and just put it aside thinking I will use it again. My definition of use it again often becomes when I have to move it because it is in my way or in Wendy's way. Wendy while cleaning found a pile of older clothes of mine, that I set aside thinking I would use them around the house. Ha ha. They are only sitting around the house.
As long as items are piled together, it does not bother me as much. Then I tend not to see them until forced to look at it.
I guess the phrase "Use it or lose it" is true. If something is not used, then it does become lost in a pile of junk. Or to misquote Wendy, "One man's junk is...in my way!"
