Well I hope that everyone made it back safe and sound. Is everyone also ready to go back to work? I know that I am not. It always seems that when you have a couple of days off from school or work, it is the hardest to go back the next day.
I had a pretty good Thanksgiving. The weather almost threw a kink in our plans, but it cleared up. We had a holiday of hoofing it. We had to go from home to home. We went to Wendy's parents, my aunt, back to Wendy's parents, my parents, my other aunt, back to Wendy's parents, to an uncle of Wendy's, and then finally back home.
I cannot believe that I ate so much. I had so many meals and each plate was full. Then I also went back for dessert. I will actually look forward to having to scrounge for food, rather than have so much food available. I did miss my leftover turkey sandwich this year, but most of my meals were leftovers.
The most I had were casseroles. Casseroles are very good, you never truly know what one consists of. Most often they are either vegetable or meat. I prefer the meat casseroles personally. However, it is a good way to get every food group into one serving. Okay, okay, two servings.
I went to a meal with family that almost had more desserts than main food dishes. If you count the random cookie dish then that was definitely true. All of it was good.
I am not sure if I will be able to eat again until the new year, but I sure will give it a try.
