Scooped up

Hello all you cone-aics

Last night a friend and I went to take advantage of a great deal. Baskin Robbins was having a 31 cent scoop night, limit three. So after some encouragement from Wendy, we went.

Charles and I made the trek to ice cream shoppe about 6:30 pm. The special took place between 5 and 10 pm. As we pull into the parking lot, we see all the parents and children standing around. We think "Oh, boy, but what do else do we have to do?" So we queue up. The wait was not bad. It took about 15 minutes to get to the counter.

Finally it was our time to order. I know BR has 31 flavors, but I could only see half. So I went pretty bland and got a scoop of Cookie dough and chips and Reese Peanut Butter Cup in a cone. Charles just some kind of chocolate concoction. It was good and cheap. Under five dollars.

We sat outside and ate our treats. No, I did not drop any of my ice cream. I came close a few times. I am glad the weather was nice. It would have been tough standing in storms. We watched all the children trying to eat their ice cream while it was dripping down their arms. At least their parents can put them in a timeout corner and they will stick there. Just kidding.

A local fire department was at the establishment trying to raise money. I am not sure how much they raised. They had someone dressed in a Dalmatian costume. He was walking around getting hugs from the children. Fortunately, we did not see him have to find a fire hydrant.

So it was a pretty cool night.
