Great eatings to the toppings
No, I am not obsessed with pizza. It just seems that I have been eating more of it lately. I really do not eat pizza that often. When Wendy and I do eat pizza it is often the frozen variety. Pop in the oven and then pop in our mouths. I am not a pizza connoisseur. As long as it has crust and sauce, maybe a topping or two, then I am fine.
Last night Wendy and I met with a married couple of friends. That is evidence that I do have friends. We had talked about getting together for several weeks, but last night was the first time we could get together. We met a California Pizza Kitchen at Southpoint. I had only been there once a few years ago. Wendy has been wanting to try the restaurant. I think one time we purchased a frozen variety of their pizza. Not having been there in awhile I went to their website to see what kind of food they had. Would you believe they had about twenty kinds of pizza? Probably you would. CPK, as they referred to themselves, also had other kinds of goodies. In fact, I could find documentation if you wanted, everything on the menu looked good.
Wendy and I spent a Jamaican Jerk pizza. I was the not the jerk. We also ordered an appetizer of some kind of roll with avocado. I did not think I would like avocado, but I tried it. It was pretty good. They gave two kinds of dressing, I have no idea what they were. Our pizza came out and looked good to me. One of the people we were with said, "Hey, your pizza is burnt. They will give you a new one." It looked okay to me, but I eat some weird things. He told the waitress and she brought out a new one. We thought we would also get to keep the old one, but she took it when the new came out. Oh well, easy come, easy go. I have no idea what they do with the "improperly prepared" food. Hopefully there was good use for it. The new pizza was good, but the old one was good too. I had a slice or two before the waitress took it. We even had a few slices left over for later.
Then Wendy and I went to Coldstone Creamery. We each had an ice cream cone. It was some kind of sweet cream ice cream with chocolate chips, Butterfinger pieces, and caramel on a waffle cone. It may have had more, but I have no idea. It was pretty good. Coldstone is a place we don't go a lot. It was a little pricey for me, but I am cheap.
A little side note of a boring story. Every time I tried to say California Pizza Kitchen it would come out California Pizza Chicken. I have no idea why. Wendy says it is because we have been eating chicken so much lately. Hmmm, the pizza we had did have chicken pieces?
